Wow Wow Wubbzy!

Here are some more characters from one of my sons' favorite shows on Nick Jr. -- Wow Wow Wubbzy. The pattern is by Leisure Arts and you can find it at your local craft store (such as Hobby Lobby) or on-line.

If you are going to buy this pattern be forewarned that the suggested yarn was difficult for me to find. I couldn't find it at Hobby Lobby, Michaels or JoAnns. I ended up ordering the yellow, pink and purple yarn online at Roberts Crafts. I have to say that the shipping for 5 skeins of yarn was a little ridiculous, but I knew that if I used the yellow, pink and purple yarn that I could find locally that I wouldn't be happy with the finished product. And another tip: you will probably need 3 skeins of yellow to finish Wubbzy rather than the 2 skeins they recommend. I did, and I got to pay shipping for another skein of yarn. Oh well, my sons love the finished dolls so I guess it was worth it :)

As I don't usually make dolls, I enjoyed the challenge that these patterns presented. And I learned some new techniques in the process.

Thank you, Crystal. I think Walden was the most fun to make. Wubbzy was my least favorite except for his tail. The way they shaped his tail is pretty awesome and not what I would have done. It's interesting to see what other pattern designers do.

You rocked these patterns!! I too, got the book and attempted (gulp) Wubbzy .... it was a disaster. I chronicled the misery, which includes a picture and my frustrating yarn search here: http://mycrochetsite.com/blog2/. Truly - You did an amazing job with these guys. I caved and gave my 2yr old granddaughter half a Wubbzy. Bad Gramma.

Kris, thank you so much for the compliments! I forgot to mention in my original post that I also looked for yellow yarn at Walmart and Pat Catans (a local craft store here). I was shocked by how hard it was to find regular yellow acrylic yarn. I should have saved my gas money from driving all over town and used that to pay shipping for the yarn I had to order online! Your not a bad gramma! You searched forever to find the yarn and it doesn't exist.

Hello!

I am wondering if you still have this pattern...and how I could possibly obtain it.

I am learning it's from a while ago, but my son just turned three, and is crazy for all things Wubbzy. I just made him a full bed set, from fabric, but am having difficultly getting anything else.

If you know a source or any help would be greatly appreciated. Purchasing it is fine, I just need to find where - even Amazon is sold out!

Hi, Marilyn. Yes, I actually have two of the Wubbzy patterns. I plan to list them for sale in my Etsy shop as I will never need to use them again. I will try to find time to do that this week. xo, Anna
