My favorite free crochet patterns: Foamies!

Just last week I was cleaning out my stash of yarn and other crafting supplies. I came across some Patons Grace yarn and thought about giving it away because I hadn't used it in almost 3 years. I'm so glad I didn't! I came across this free pattern. I can not get over how cute these guys are! They remind me of the scrubbing bubbles from the bathtub cleaner commercials.

At first I was hesitant to use a bath scrubbie that had polyester fiberfil in it and safety eyes. But they work great and my sons love them :) My sons never showed any interest in learning to wash themselves but they do now! And I am so addicted to making these and trying out new color combinations and faces.

I also love trying different patterns because I always learn something new. This pattern taught me a new way to make a bobble stitch.

These are SO cute! How well does the fiberfill dry after the bath?

So far so good as far as them drying out. I just squeeze as much water out of them as possible after bath time.

How cute! What a great way to use up small amounts of yarn and make something useful.
